Hello! I'm Lara Mukahirn, an illustrator and pet portrait artist that loves to bring life to whimsical characters and stories, and animals through my colorful, playful art.  I specialize in digital illustrations and acrylic paintings, which often feature friendly animal characters and light hearted scenes.  Childhood was so full of magic and wonder, and I strive to continue that magic for today's young readers and gamers.

Animals and magic have always held my fascination.  As a child I was obsessed not only with existing animals, but with dragons.  I drew countless dragons inspired by the colorful patterns and shapes of the animals I would read about or see on the tv.  My illustrated creatures are friendly, approachable, and ready to inspire the imagination of children as they turn the pages.
